Adam Branch Commits to UW-Oshkosh (12-22-16)
Adam Branch, a 6-0 right side hitter from Downers Grove, Illinois has announced his commitment to join the UW-Oshkosh men's volleyball team according to head coach Brian Schaefer. Branch joins Matt Aussem (Nicolet High School) in the 2017-2018 recruiting class so far for the Titans.
Branch currently plays for Hitmen Volleyball Club under head coach Evan Lejman and will play for Downers Grove South high school in the spring to conclude his senior year of high school. The Mustangs are coached by Kurt Steuer.
"Adam is a high flying lefty that will be a perfect compliment to our team next year," said Schaefer. "He is a hard-working, respectful kid that will only get better in our system. We are excited to get a player from Hitmen Volleyball Club and to get Adam in the gym next year."
Adam is the son of Bob and Christi Branch and is undecided on a major. "I love the size of the campus and how many options there are for majors. Playing volleyball at the next level has been a goal of mine for a long time and I can't wait to represent UW-Oshkosh on and off the court next year." said Branch.
"Due to his work ethic in the classroom Adam will qualify for the Titan National Scholarship that will give him in-state tuition for four years." added Schaefer. "This has been a great incentive for our University to draw students from all over the country and we are certainly glad Adam can take advantage of that opportunity."
UW-Oshkosh, the three-time defending National Collegiate Volleyball Association Division I national champions will get started January 2nd, 2017 for the season.
