UW-Oshkosh III Remains One Match Behind UW-Oshkosh II in WVC (3-6-16)
The UW-Oshkosh III men's volleyball team remained one match behind Wisconsin Volleyball Conference leader UW-Oshkosh II after going 3-0 at the WVC play date on Saturday (March 5) in Oshkosh.
The Titans beat Carroll University 25-13, 25-17, 21-25, 25-15, Maranatha Baptist University 25-16, 25-19, 25-21 and Carroll University II 25-16, 25-10, 25-21 to improve to 8-1 in the league.
Mike Skora (Fr. - Salem) led the Titans with 15 kills and also had four blocks, including three block solos against Carroll University. Matt Pedersen (Fr. - Muskego) dished out 38 assists, Joe Kuchler (Jr. - Muskego) tallied 14 digs and Alex Basting (Fr. - Franklin) tallied nine kills and nine digs.
David Edelmann (So. - Belleville, Ill.) provided two service aces, Tony D'Acquisto (Fr. - Franklin) tacked on six kills and Sam Nelson (Fr. - Luck) led the team with seven blocks.
In the win over Maranatha Baptist University Joe Lesko (Jr. - New Berlin) was a perfect seven for seven in kills and also had three service aces. D'Acquisto led the team with eight kills and had two blocks and Pedersen had 37 assists and four blocks, including three solo stuffs.
Kuchler provided six digs and three service aces, Edelmann scooped up six digs and Joey Mack (Fr. - Muskego) piled up three service aces.
Basting led the team with 10 kills and nine digs in their win over Carroll University II. Skora added six kills and seven digs, Edelmann finished with six digs and Kuckler had a match high six service aces.
Pedersen once again led the team with 25 assists and added three blocks, Nelson amassed three blocks, including two solo blocks and Lesko had four service aces.
