UW-Oshkosh II Remains Undefeated in WVC (3-6-16)
The UW-Oshkosh II men's volleyball team won all three of its matches to remain undefeated in the Wisconsin Volleyball Conference Division II on Saturday (March 5) in Oshkosh.
UW-Oshkosh II beat Concordia University Wisconsin 25-12, 25-14, 25-15, UW-Whitewater II 25-10, 25-13, 25-16 and Marquette University II 27-25, 25-19, 26-24. With the win over the Golden Eagles the Titans improved to 9-0 in the conference and lead UW-Oshkosh III by one match.
Mike Starzec (Sr. - Buffalo Grove, Ill.) led the team with eight kills on 11 attempts again Concordia University Wisconsin. Adam Landgraf (Sr. - Kenosha) provided 28 assists and two blocks, Tony Mack (Jr. - Muskego) slammed down six kills and had two blocks and Alex Harty (Jr. - Racine) scooped up seven digs. Braeden Melton (Sr. - Beloit) provided a team-leading five blocks and Harty topped the team with two service aces.
In the win over the Warhawks, Starzec once again led the team in kills with nine and also had four blocks, including two solo stuffs. Landgraf ran the offense with 25 assists and Mack amassed five kills and eight digs. John Collins (Fr. - New Berlin) chipped in five kills and two blocks.
In the win over the Golden Eagles, Mack led the team with 11 kills and had seven digs and two blocks. Starzec contributed five kills and seven blocks, Melton had six blocks and Harty had 10 digs. Eli Miller (Fr. - Burlington) had eight digs and Landgraf distributed 40 assists and had five digs. The Titans had 46 kills and 46 digs in the winning cause.
