UW-Oshkosh II Remains Undefeated in the WVC Division II (2-25-16)
The UW-Oshkosh II men's volleyball team remained undefeated in the Wisconsin Volleyball Conference Division II with two wins on Sunday (Feb. 21) in Oshkosh. The Titans are seeking their 14th straight WVC Division II title.
UW-Oshkosh II (13-3 / 6-0 WVC) remained the only unbeaten team in the conference after defeating Marquette University II 25-20, 22-25, 25-8, 25-18 and UW-Whitewater II 25-15, 25-21, 25-20. The second set lost to the Golden Eagles was the first set the Titans lost in WVC action this season.
Tony Mack (Jr. - Muskego) led the Titans with 13 kills, while adding three service aces and four blocks. Michael Starzec (Sr. - Buffalo Grove, Ill.) provided eight kills and six blocks and Braeden Melton (Sr. - Beloit) added seven kills, two service aces and four blocks.
John Collins (Fr. - New Berlin) tallied six kills and three blocks and Adam Landgraf (Sr. - Kenosha) dished out 39 assists and had four service aces and three blocks. Jake Martin (Fr.- New Lenox, Ill.) pitched in six digs and Eli Miller (Fr. - Burlington) had five digs.
Mack once again provided the offensive fire power with a team leading nine kills against the Warhawks. He added two blocks and one service ace. Martin paced the back court with nine digs and two service aces and Landgraf dictated the offense with 25 assists and also had three blocks. Starzec finished the match with six kills and five blocks.
