UW-Oshkosh III Beat Maranatha Baptist University (2-11-16)
The UW-Oshkosh III team defeated Maranatha Baptist University 25-12, 25-10, 25-17 in a non-conference tilt on Thursday (Feb. 11) in Oshkosh.
The Titans led from start to finish in the first two sets in the lopsided victory. In set three the Titans were down 5-3 before going on a 6-3 run to take its first lead of the stanza at 9-8. From there UW-Oshkosh went on a 5-0 scoring skein and lead by at least six points the rest of the way.
Sam Nelson (Fr. - Luck) led the Titans with eight kills on 12 errorless attempts for a .750 hitting percentage. Tony D'Acquisto (Fr. - Franklin), Joe Lesko (Jr. - New Berlin) and Michael Skora (Fr. - Salem) each had five kills and Joey Mack (Fr. - Muskego) added four kills.
Joe Kuchler (Jr. - Muskego) led the team with seven digs and Matt Pedersen (Fr. - Muskego) dished out 23 assists and had six digs. Skora and Lesko topped the team with three service aces, Nelson had four blocks, Andrew Shea (Jr. - Brookfield) added three blocks, including two solo blocks and David Edelmann (So. - Belleville, Ill.) had six digs.
