UW-Oshkosh Inks First-Team All-State Selection (2-11-16)
Nick Davies, a 6-4 setter from Kettle Moraine High School, has decided to play for UW-Oshkosh announced head coach Brian Schaefer.
Davies was one of seven players named to the Wisconsin Boys Volleyball Coaches Association All-State first team. He was the Classic Eight Conference most valuable player leading the Lasers to the conference title with a perfect 7-0 record.
Kettle Moraine High School finished the year 30-6 after losing to Kaukauna High School in the state championship match. Davies was coached by Tom Gulak and was a two-time varsity captain.
Currently he plays club volleyball for Lake Country Volleyball Club under the direction of head coach Mike Orgos. Davies is the son of Jon and Julie Davies and will study marketing at UW-Oshkosh.
"UW-Oshkosh allows me to grow academically and athletically," said Davies when asked why he selected the Titans.
"Nick had a breakout year for Kettle Moraine High School," said Schaefer. "He is only going to keep getting better and will be a dominating setter in our program. I look forward to seeing how far Nick's talent will take him and am pleased that he will become a Titan."
