UW-Oshkosh Excels in the Classroom (1-29-16)
The UW-Oshkosh men's volleyball team had another successful semester in the classroom. The nine-time collegiate club national champions had 11 members of the team achieved a 3.00 or higher during the fall semester.
Named to the Dean’s List (3.75-4.00 GPA) were Tony Mack (Jr. – Muskego) and Wesley Morioka (Sr. – Chicago, Ill.). This is Mack’s third time on the Dean’s List after transferring from Cardinal Stritch University and this is Morioka’s second time as an honoree.
Named to the Honor Roll (3.30-3.74 GPA) were Joe Kuchler (Jr. - Muskego), Jake Martin (Fr. – New Lenox, Ill.), Matt Pedersen (Fr. – Muskego), Sammy Pedersen (Jr. – Muskego) and Andrew Shea (Jr. – Brookfield).
Those achieving a 3.00-3.29 grade point average were Tony D’Acquisto (Fr. – Franklin), Joey Mack (Fr. – Muskego), Eaven Mason (Fr. – Milwaukee) and Michael Wamboldt (Jr. – Pleasant Prairie).
"Monitoring grades and offering study table really helps our players," said head coach Brian Schaefer. "We feel that we not only hold the players accountable on the court, but as well as in the classroom. Not only did we have many players above a 3.00, but also quite a few just below that average."
