The UW-Oshkosh men's volleyball team has another successful semester in the classroom with 15 members of the team achieving at least a 3.0 grade point average for the spring.
Topping the list were Jordan Mattingly (Sr. - Kaukauna) and Chris Flood (Fr. - Appleton) who took home a perfect 4.0 to be named to the Dean's List.
Other Titans that were named to the Honor Roll were Shane Heyrman (So. - Green Bay) with a 3.61, Adam Landgraf (Fr. - Kenosha) with a 3.48, Bill Meidenbauer (Sr. - Waukesha) with a 3.38, Wesley Morioka (Fr. - Chicago, Ill.) with a 3.70, Andrew Nett (Sr. - Fond du Lac) with a 3.54, Josh Preiss (Fr. - New Berlin) with a 3.64 and Tyler Wiedenhoeft (So. - Mequon) with a 3.69.
Achieving grades above between a 3.00 and 3.29 were Steve Brunelli (Sr. - Greenfield), Erik Harke (Jr. - Kimberly), Danny Kingstad (Fr. - Franklin), Mitch Lahmann (So. - Wauwatosa), Michael Starzec (Fr. - Buffalo Grove, Ill.) and Brock Van Deurzen (Fr. - Kimberly).
"It takes a lot of hard work to balance your studies and be a member of any sports team at UW-Oshkosh," said head coach Brian Schaefer. "Our team also needs to do a lot of fundraising to keep costs down and to get to travel as much as well do. To have nine underclassmen on this list is great to see and the guys should be proud of their work in the classroom."
