Oshkosh Wins WVC For Fifth Consecutive Season (3-14-13)
The UW-Oshkosh men's volleyball team finished the Wisconsin Volleyball Conference undefeated for the fourth time in the last five years with a 25-22, 25-12, 25-22 victory over UW-La Crosse on Wednesday (March 13) in La Crosse. UW-Oshkosh, (37-1; 14-0 WVC) which owns a 48-1 record in WVC matches over the last five seasons, earned the number one seed heading into the state championships that will hosted by UW-Oshkosh on Friday and Saturday (March 29-30) in Kolf Sports Center and Albee Hall.

UW-Oshkosh, the number one ranked Division I team in the National Collegiate Volleyball Federation beat UW-La Crosse, the number one ranked Division II team in the NCVF for the second time in five days. Bill Meidenbauer (Sr. - Waukesha) led the Titans with 13 kills on a team best 31 attempts. He added five digs and two blocks on the evening. Travis Hudson (Fr. - Wauwatosa) dished out 31 assists and Jake Ahnert (So. - Burlington) slammed down 11 kills on 15 attempts while adding three blocks. Wesley Morioka (Fr. - Chicago, Ill.) tallied two service aces and four digs and Dan Ruys (Gr. - Kimberly) notched six kills and three blocks.

The Titans will have off until they travel to Michigan State University on Saturday and Sunday (March 23-24) for the Midwest Intercollegiate Volleyball Association. UW-Oshkosh won the title last year with a two set win over the University of Notre Dame.
