Oshkosh II Wins First Match of the Season (1-24-13)
The UW-Oshkosh II men's volleyball team started the Wisconsin Volleyball Conference season with a four-set win over host UW-Whitewater II in action on Wednesday (Jan. 23) in Whitewater. The Titans took the match in set scores of 25-19, 24-26, 25-17, 25-21. UW-Oshkosh (1-0; 1-0 WVC), who started four freshmen, overcame 20 serving errors to post the victory. Both Danny Kingstad (Fr. - Franklin) and Andrew Nett (Sr. - Fond du Lac) piled up nine kills to lead the Titans offense. Tyler Wiedenhoeft (So. - Mequon), the 2012 NCVF Division III national libero of the year, posted 13 digs. Adam Landgraf (Fr. - Kenosha) dished out 35 assists and added four blocks and three service aces and Erik Harke (So. - Kimberly) led the team with four service aces. Kingstad tallied four blocks and Tyler Range (Fr. - Kenosha) and Steve Brunelli (Sr. - Greenfield) each put down five kills.
