Titans Stuff Warhawks (1-24-13)
The UW-Oshkosh (6-1; 1-0 WVC) men's volleyball team started off the 2013 Wisconsin Volleyball Conference slate with a dominating 25-19, 25-18, 25-14 win over UW-Whitewater on Wednesday (Jan. 23) in Whitewater.
Zach Johnson (Sr. - Mequon), Nick Mueller (Sr. - Kenosha) and Dan Ruys (Gr. - Kimberly) each had six kills to lead the Titans offense. Bill Meidenbauer (Sr. - Waukesha) added five kills and Jake Ahnert (So. - Burlington) had four in a balanced attack.
Wesley Morioka (Fr. - Chicago, Ill.) patrolled the back court with a team leading six digs. Jordan Mattingly (Sr. - Kaukauna) and Mueller each added four digs. Ruys provided four blocks and Johnson added three stuffs. Mattingly and Meidenbauer each had two service aces.
