Wagner Named NCVF Division III National Player of the Year; Five Other Titans Named All-Americans (4-9-12)
Brandon Wagner (Fr. - Mukwonago) became the first freshman in UW-Oshkosh history to be named a national player of the year after being named the National Collegiate Volleyball Federation Division III top player after leading the Titans to the title in Kansas City, Missouri.

Wagner led the Titans to its second NCVF Division III title, and sixth overall collegiate club national championship both offensively and defensively at the net. In nine matches, the 6-6 middle blocker had 64 kills on a .537 hitting percentage and added 18 blocks.

Key matches for Wagner at nationals included eight kills on nine attempts against the University of Wisconsin II, seven kills and two blocks against Penn State University II and 10 kills in 11 attempts battling James Madison University II in the national semifinals. He had nine kills and one solo block in the championship match.

Wagner was also named to the Wisconsin Volleyball Conference Division II first-team after helping the Titans to the Wisconsin Volleyball Conference II regular season and state championship crowns. The Titans finished with a 40-4 overall record in 2012.

Tyler Wiedenhoeft (Fr. - Mequon) led five other UW-Oshkosh II players by being named the NCFV Division III national libero of the year and a spot on the All-America First-Team. Wiedenhoeft was also named the WVC Division II libero of the year earlier in the season. Wiedenhoeft finished with 34 digs at the championships and came back to play in the national championship match after getting injured in the semifinals.

Matt Maciejewski (Sr. - Greenfield) collected his first All-America honor when named to the first-team as a left side hitter. Maciejewski had a team-leading 67 kills and was also a member of the Titans 2010 NCVF Division III national championship team.

Named to the NCFV Division III All-American honorable mention team were middle blocker Will Brydon (Sr. - Northbrook, Ill.), setter Bob Hall (Jr. - Appleton) and right side hitter Andrew Nett (Sr. - Fond du Lac).

Hall was also an All-American as the starting setter for the 2010 championship team, whereas Brydon and Nett collected their first honor for the Titans.
