Boddy Repeats as WVC Most Valuable Player (4-1-12)
Tyler Boddy (Sr. - New Ulm, Minn.) claimed Wisconsin Volleyball Conference most valuable player honors for the second consecutive year announced on Friday (March 30) in Oshkosh. He joins Andrew Sederberg (2005, 2006) as the only UW-Oshkosh players to have won the award on more than one occasion.

Boddy led UW-Oshkosh (41-3) to the WVC regular season title with a 12-0 record. The Titans only lost two sets in those 12 matches and claimed the regular season crown for the third consecutive season.

For the second time is team history the Titans had five players named to the WVC first-team. Joining Boddy were Zach Johnson (Jr. - Mequon), Bill Meidenbauer (Sr. - Waukesha), Nick Mueller (Jr. - Kenosha) and Dan Ruys (Sr. - Kimberly).

Ruys, who also won an award for most blocks per set in the WVC, took home his third straight first-team all-conference award. Ruys was also named a 2011 NCVF first-team All-American as UW-Oshkosh captured the Division I national title.

Meidenbauer and Mueller garnered their second consecutive first team award and Johnson was awarded first team for the initial time after being named honorable mention last season. Meidenbauer was also a 2009 second team All-American and a 2011 first team selection. Johnson earned honorable mention All-American status last season.
