Oshkosh Volleyball Salutes it's Graduating Seniors (4-1-12)
WILL BRYDON
Will hails from Northbrook, Illinois and will graduate in May with a 3.67 grade point average while majoring in secondary education. As a member of the UW-Oshkosh Division II team for three years, Will led the Titans to the Wisconsin Volleyball Conference regular season title all three seasons, including this year with a perfect 7-0 mark that gave the Titans their TENTH straight regular season title. Last year Will was named the WVC Division II state championship most valuable player after providing the emotional leadership needed as the Titans pulled out a three set victory in the championship match against Northland International University.
Will was also named to the 2012 WVC Division II honorable mention team as well as the WVC Division II state championship most valuable player for the second consecutive year as the Titans won the state title again this season.
Will has been the Division II team's captain the last two seasons. TYLER BODDY
Tyler Boddy traveled to UW-Oshkosh from New Ulm, Minnesota and will graduate in May with a 3.47 grade point average while majoring in elementary education with a minor in math. Tyler made an immediate impact for the Titans being named the WVC Newcomer of the Year as well as honorable mention all-conference in 2008. Tyler was named WVC and Midwest Ten Conference First Team in 2010 and 2011 and claimed Most Valuable Player of both leagues last season as the Titans won both conferences. This season he was again named the Midwest Ten Conference and Wisconsin Volleyball Conference most valuable player helping the Titans to a perfect regular season in both leagues. Tyler helped the Titans win its ninth WVC state championship as the Titans swept all six of their opponents. Last year UW-Oshkosh captured its third collegiate club national title with Tyler leading the way as he was named the NCVF National Player of the Year. Tyler has been one of the Titans captains the last two seasons and will attend Southwest Minnesota State University in fall as a graduate assistant for their women's volleyball team. DAN RUYS Dan originates from Kimberly, Wisconsin and will graduate in May with a 3.56 grade point average with a double major in finance and supply chain and operations management. Dan has been named a Midwest Ten Conference first team selection two times and just recently was named a WVC first team honorees for the third consecutive season. For three straight years (2010-2012) he led the WVC in blocks per set and twice led the WVC in hitting percentage. Dan was named to the 2012 WVC state championship all-tournament team after helping the Titans to the title. Dan helped the Titans win its second MIVA Championship in the last three years in 2012 by beating #1 University of Notre Dame in the finals. Last year Dan garnered his first All-American honor after being named to the NCFV First Team as the Titans captured the championship.
Dan has been team captain and team president the last two seasons. ANDY SCHINNER
Andy hails from Mequon, Wisconsin and will graduate in May with a 3.19 grade point average while double majoring in marketing and human resources. Andy was named to the WVC All-Newcomer Team his freshman campaign in 2008 and an honorable mention selection last season. Andy led the Titans offense last spring to its third Division I national championship and was named a 2011 NCVF Division I honorable mention All-American for his efforts.
