Titans Remain Perfect in Platteville (2-16-12)
The UW-Oshkosh men's volleyball team remained undefeated in both the Wisconsin Volleyball Conference and on the season with a 25-21, 25-20, 25-20 thrashing of UW-Platteville on Wednesday (Feb. 13) in Platteville.
UW-Oshkosh (8-0 WVC/12-0 Overall), ranked number one in that latest National Collegiate Volleyball Federation poll, was led by the nine kills of Bill Meindenbauer (Sr. - Waukesha) and the six digs by Tyler Boddy (Sr. - New Ulm, Minn.).
Andrew Schinner (Sr. - Mequon) and Bob Hall (Jr. - Appleton) shared setting duties with 18 and 14 helpers, respectively and Nick Mueller (Jr. - Kenosha) tallied four service aces. Zach Johnson (Jr. - Mequon) added seven kills and two blocks, Dan Ruys (Sr. - Kimberly) six kills and three blocks and Vince Odorizzi (Sr. - Pleasant Prairie) four kills and two blocks.
Shane Heyrman (Fr. - Green Bay) finished with five kills as the Titans had 38 total kills in the match. UW-Oshkosh added nine service aces and six blocks on the night.
