Oshkosh II Starts WVC Season Where They Left Off (1-29-12)
The defending champion Titans went 3-0 at the WVC Division II play date held on Saturday (Jan. 28) at Northland International University. UW-Oshkosh II dismantled UW-Platteville II 25-7, 25-10 and UW-Whitewater II, 25-11, 26-24 and beat Marquette University II, 26-28, 25-14, 15-3. The Titans held a 17-0 lead in set one against UW-Platteville II and a 10-0 cushion in the deciding third stanza against Marquette University II.

Mitch Lahmann (Fr. - Wauwatosa) was a perfect four for four on kill attempts and Jordan Berget (Jr. - New Richmond) tallied three service aces in the win over the Pioneers. Andrew Nett (Sr. - Fond du Lac) had eight kills and Will Brydon (Jr. - Northbrook, Ill.) added six in the win over the Warhawks. Patrick Phillips (Jr. - Delafield) added four kills and four digs. Brandon Wagner (Fr. - Mukwonago) led the Titans with 10 kills and five blocks against the Golden Eagles. Ryan Hoffland (Fr. - Wauwatosa) dished out 31 assists and Joe Vang (Jr. - Manitowoc) had eight digs. UW-Oshkosh II hit an astonishing .640 in the third set.

UW-Oshkosh II will continue action this week with a non-conference WVC match-up against UW-Whitewater II at Kolf Sports Center on Thursday (Feb. 2) at 6:00 p.m. They will then travel to Moody Bible Institute to continue WVC Division II play date action on Saturday (Feb. 4) in Chicago. Play begins at 10:00 a.m.
