Oshkosh I Wins the WVC Kickoff Tournament, Oshkosh II Takes Third (12-4-11)
The UW-Oshkosh men's volleyball team started where they left of last season by winning the Wisconsin Volleyball Conference preseason tournament held on Saturday (Dec.3) in Sheboygan, Wis. The Titans defeated UW-Stout and Marquette University, while splitting with UW-La Crosse to win their pool. In the playoffs, UW-Oshkosh swept UW-Platteville, UW-Whitewater and UW-La Crosse to claim the title.

Competing in the varsity portion of the tournament, the UW-Oshkosh II team played extremely well losing in the semi-finals to UW-La Crosse in a tight three-set match. They claimed first in their pool by splitting with UW-Whitewater before beating UW-Platteville and Lakeland College. In the quarterfinals, the Titans beat Marquette University in three-sets to advance to the match against the Eagles. It was a promising start to the season for UW-Oshkosh II as they start five freshmen.
