Oshkosh II Sweeps NIU at Home (2-22-11)
The UW-Oshkosh II team hit over .380 in each set to claim a 25-14, 25-17, 25-20 non-conference victory over Northland International University on Tuesday (Feb. 22) in Kolf Sports Center.
Andrew Nett (Jr. - Fond du Lac) led the Titans with eight kills, while hitting .615 in the match. Chris Pokrzywa (Fr. - New Berlin) followed with seven kills, Steve Brunelli (Jr. - Greenfield) five and Erik Harke (Fr. - Appleton) four.
Ryan Schultz (Sr. - Wauwatosa) dished out 26 assists and added two service aces, Pokrzywa and Marcus Taylor (Sr. - Elmhurst) each had four digs, Nett tallied three blocks and Andrew Collins (Sr. - Germantown) had two service aces.
"We have some work to do on our serving, but other than that we played pretty well," said head coach Brian Schaefer. "We passed well and Schultzy ran a good offense keeping their blockers guessing."
