Freshman Pokrzywa Leads Oshkosh II Past Marquette II (2-18-11)
The UW-Oshkosh II men's volleyball team remaining undefeated against in-state foes with a 25-15, 25-12 victory over Marquette University II in a non-conference WVC match-up on Thursday (Feb. 17) in Milwaukee.
Chris Pokrzywa (Fr. - New Berlin) led UW-Oshkosh (11-2-1) with seven kills, including five straight in the second set. Steve Brunelli (Jr. - Greenfield) and Andrew Nett (Jr. - Fond du Lac) each had four as nine Titans registered at least one put away.
Ryan Schultz (Sr. - Wauwatosa) had 18 assists and four digs, Brunelli collected four service aces and Pokrzywa tallied three of his own. Nett led the Titans with three blocks and Brunelli, Erik Harke (Fr. - Appleton) and Andrew Collins (Sr. - Germantown) each had two.
