Oshkosh II Dominates Lakeland II in a Non-Conference Meeting (2-15-11)
The UW-Oshkosh II men's volleyball team made short work of Lakeland College II 25-16, 25-13 in a non-conference match held on Tuesday (Feb. 15) in Kolf Sports Center.
UW-Oshkosh II (10-2-1) started off on fire, bolting to a 9-1 lead in set one off of three service aces by Chris Pokrzywa (Fr. - New Berlin). Will Brydon (Jr. - Northbrook, Ill.) and Pokrzywa each added three kills in the stanza.
The Titans left little doubt who was the better team on the night, hitting a blistering .600 in set two to take the match. Pokrzywa again led the team with four kills, while Brydon controlled the net with three.
For the match, David Catoe (So. - Racine) led the Titans with seven digs and Ryan Schultz (Sr. - Wauwatosa) added 20 assists and four service aces. Pokrzywa added seven kills and five service aces, Brydon led the team with four blocks and Steve Brunelli (Jr. - Greenfield) and Erik Harke (Fr. - Kimberly) each had three blocks.
