Ryan Hoffland, a 5-6 libero from Wauwatosa, Wisconsin will be joining the UW-Oshkosh men's volleyball team in the fall of 2011, announced head coach Brian Schaefer. Under the tutelage of head coach John Simon, Hoffland helped lead his Wauwatosa East High School team to the WIAA state tournament his senior year where they took third place. He was named to the Greater Metro honorable mention all-conference team his senior campaign and to the second-team in 2009. He is currently a member of the North Shore Junior Olympic volleyball club under the direction of head coach Brad Kuehl. Ryan is the son of Scott and Jennifer Hoffland and is intending to study criminal justice at UW-Oshkosh. "The campus is awesome and the education is top notch at UW-Oshkosh." said Hoffland when asked why he decided to become a Titan. "Ball control and court smarts is a must in volleyball and Ryan has both," said Schaefer. "The coaches immediately noticed Ryan at our summer camp as somebody that knows the game and will be a welcomed addition to our team."
