Titans Stomp the Pioneers (3-27-06)
Division I The UW-Oshkosh men's volleyball team made short work of UW-Platteville 30-17, 30-23, 30-24 in a match held on Sunday (March 26) in Platteville. With the victory UW-Oshkosh (32-0/12-0) capped off an undefeated Wisconsin Volleyball Conference regular season for the first time in school history.
Despite winning five of the last nine WVC state championships, this is the first regular season title for the Titans since 1997 when they went 13-1 in conference action. Previously the Titans have won the state championships in 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2004 and look to win their unprecedented sixth championship. No other team has won more than three WVC state championships which is a separate tournament than the WVC regular season.

Andrew Sederberg (Sr. - Racine) and Matt Lewin (Sr. - Cudahy) added three service aces to help keep the Pioneers out of their offense and Semrad paced the team with three blocks.
Division III Behind a career-high 20 kills from Jim Hall (Fr. - Appleton) the UW-Oshkosh III men's volleyball team defeated UW-Platteville II 31-29, 30-28, 22-30, 30-21 in a game held on Sunday (March 26) in Platteville. With the win UW-Oshkosh (8-4) has now won five consecutive matches.

Mark Beck (Fr. - Kimberly) paced the Titans with 12 digs with only one receiving error as the libero and Brian Sigrist (Sr. - West Allis) dished out 46 assists.
"This was far from our best match of the season," said head coach Brian Schaefer. "We played uninspired volleyball until we needed to after being down in the fourth game. Hopefully we can have a good week of practice and be ready for the WVC state championship in 10 days."
