Oshkosh III Upends NBBC (3-8-06)
The UW-Oshkosh men's Division III volleyball team upended Northland Baptist Bible College 21-30, 30-24, 3-25, 30-27 in a game held on Tuesday (March 7) in Dunbar, Wisconsin. With the win the Titans improve to 7-4 on the year and have won four straight contests.

After a slow start in game one, UW-Oshkosh held off the Pioneers with aggressive serving and the solid all around play of Jim Hall (Fr. - Appleton). Hall led the Titans with 13 kills and added seven digs and five service aces.

Mark Beck (Fr. - Kimberly) added nine kills and seven digs and Kurt Breier (Jr. - Kimberly) collected eight digs and four blocks. Trenton Hazen (So. - Racine) chipped in seven kills, four service aces and four solo blocks and Tony Goebel (Fr. - Fond du Lac) added a team high nine digs. Brian Sigrist (Sr. - West Allis) led the offense with 48 assists and Justin Sanders (Sr. - Little Suamico) added a career-high four service aces.

"Although we had a lot of service errors tonight we keep them out of their offense with aggressiveness," said head coach Brian Schaefer. "Each member of the team that served had at least one service ace and 18 total for the team in a match is a lot. We are looking pretty good going into the WVC state championship."
