Jeff Thomas Named WVC Player of Week (3-3-06)
Jeff Thomas, a senior leftside hitter for UW-Oshkosh is the February 24 - March 2, 2006 Division I Wisconsin Volleyball Conference co-player of the week. Thomas was named as an all-star for the third consecutive year at the Hoosier-Illini Classic and led the Titans to the team title of the 40-team event. In the opening round of the single elimination tournament on Sunday, Thomas tallied 10 kills on 11 errorless attempts against #7 ranked Virginia Tech University and had 11 kills in the quarterfinals against #12 ranked University of Colorado. After beating UW-Whitewater in the semifinals, Thomas had seven kills against #3 Lakeland College to help the Titans to the title. For the tournament Thomas had 44 kills, 11 digs, 13 service aces and six blocks.
