Evan Fahl Becomes 5th Fox Valley Recruit (5-23-07)
Evan Fahl, a 6-1 right side hitter from Appleton has committed to the UW-Oshkosh men's volleyball team for the upcoming year. He becomes the 15th student-athlete committed to trying out for the Titans for the 2007-2008 season.
Fahl played for current UW-Oshkosh player Kurt Breier at Appleton East High School and earned two varsity letters as a Patriot. Fahl is the fifth senior from the Fox Valley Association to commit to becoming a Titan.
"It is great that we are getting more players from the Fox Valley area," said head coach Brian Schaefer. "The Appleton schools have gotten much better in the last couple of years and it will be a good area to recruit from in the upcoming years. Kurt Breier, one of the hardest working players on our team that really likes the game, coached Evan. I am happy that Kurt has gotten the opportunity to coach boys high school volleyball and if Kurt has passed on that attitude to Evan he will be a great asset to our team."
Evan is the son of Ron and Becky Fahl and is undecided on a major. "I choose UW-Oshkosh because it is not that far from home and is a good school for volleyball and academics," stated Fahl.
