Catoe To Play For Titans (2-17-09)
David Catoe, a 6'0" utility player from Racine, Wisconsin has decided to continue his education and play volleyball at UW-Oshkosh reported head coach Brian Schaefer recently.
Catoe hails from William Horlick High School and played for head coach Sam Firtko, while leading his team in digs his senior campaign. He is currently a member of the Next Level junior Olympic Volleyball Club and is the son of Sam and Lannette Catoe. "In talking with David's high school coach and club director and meeting with him in person I know that we are getting a hard-nosed kid that will represent UW-Oshkosh in a positive way both on and off the court," said head coach Brian Schaefer. "Others have said he will go through a wall for you and that is hard to teach in some athletes." Catoe is involved with student government as well as other clubs at William Horlick High School and will major in accounting at UW-Oshkosh.
"The school has more to offer than just volleyball for me," stated Catoe. "After meeting with a business advisor I realized that UW-Oshkosh is the best choice for college. I'm very excited for the next few years in terms of academics and volleyball."
