In the national semi-final match UW-Oshkosh could not overcome the University of Illinois II and lost 19-25, 22-25 to end their season. The Titans hitting went south as they only achieved a .206 hitting percentage despite nine kills in 14 errorless attempts by Coyle.

Hall added nine digs and Mattingly five, but the rest of the team only had three more in the losing cause. Schinner dished out 18 assists.

"It was nice to see the team peak at the right time," said graduating senior Callaway. "It was just unfortunate to run into a very good University of Illinois II team."

Mattingly was named to the eight-person NCCS Division III All-American team. "Jordan has been our go-to-player all season," said head coach Brian Schaefer. "He played outstanding in almost every match during the tournament."

"I know the team is disappointed with the outcome but we had a very solid season," added Schaefer. "With all but one starter coming back we will be in the title hunt again next year."
